Gorko's Arcade

About

Darren, the owner of a failing arcade, is quite the frazzled individual. Like many other evenings, he's forgotten something important at work. But this time, something is off when he gets to the arcade. Gorko, the demon cat, wants to play a game...

This short game will log your actions in the game to determine your Halloween movie night! The game includes direct Netflix links to view the movies, but may only work for players in the UK.

Controls

The game was developed to be played with a joystick, but keyboard + mouse controls have been added. These are listed below

• E, L, or Space: Interact with objects and fire projectiles
• Arrow Keys or WASD: Move the character(s)
• Mouse: Click UI buttons
• 1 (not numpad): Decrease brightness
• 2 (not numpad): Increase brightness

Notes

This game was developed to celebrate Halloween with my friends. It has been created on short timelines in my spare time, and I wouldn't consider it a fully polished product (much akin to a game jam!). I've tried to guard the experience from any serious bugs/glitches as best I can in the time allotted. Nonetheless, I hope anyone who plays it here enjoys it! I had a great time making it and hope I can continue making games like this.

Known Issues

The colliders in the arcade games may occasionally go wonky. If the ball in Pumpkin Break clips out of the game, you may need to restart the game (sorry!).
